About the Author: Melanie Smith and her husband, Marlon, together have four children. Melanie has homeschooled her children for over twenty years. When her children were young, she loved teaching them to read and write, and she was known to frequently create entertaining, silly stories at bedtime. Her passion for communicating with children through Bible stories and songs is evident in this children’s devotional, Rooted in God's Truth.

When she’s not homeschooling, Melanie loves playing the piano, singing with her family, tending to her garden, cooking healthy and nutritious meals, evening walks in her neighborhood and taking care of her family.
