About the Author: Dr. Shelton Smith is the president and editor of The Sword of the Lord Publishers and Ministries in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He assumed leadership in 1995 and has continued its longstanding emphasis on biblical authority, revival, soul winning and strong local churches.
Prior to him becoming editor, Dr. Smith served for thirty-four years as a pastor, including seventeen years at the Church of the Open Door in Westminster, Maryland. He has earned multiple academic degrees in theology and ministry and preaches across America.
As an author and editor, Dr. Smith has written extensively on Christian doctrine, church life and practical Christian living. Through preaching, publishing and writing, he continues to advocate for uncompromising biblical convictions and faithful Christian service.
