Paul the prisoner stand before Felix the judge—but it is in truth Felix who is on trial, trembling, while Paul reasons with him of righteousness, preaches to him of temperance and drives home the "judgment to come." And though Felix feels the truth and fears the result, he fails to take action and succumbs to Satan's suggestion to put it off until "a convenient season."
