God's Sure Law of Sowing and Reaping

If we weren't sure that sowing would lead to reaping, we would surely all starve! Who would risk being a farmer if there were only a vague, uncertain hope that the seed we sow would produce the crop we seek? The food industry is based upon the assurance that this natural law is true. Dr. John R. Rice shows that the same law operates in the spiritual realm too, just as God stated that it would. Things such as alcohol, adultery and avarice are spiritual seeds, and they will lead to a harvest of corruption as surely as an acorn will produce on oak tree. But the other side is wonderfully true as well. Sowing to the Spirit will bear fruit in this life and in the life to come. The seeds sown bear fruit in proportion to the amount of sowing. It is also promised that the seed of the Word, sown with tears, will without  
fail produce a harvest of souls bringing an eternal crown.
